A Chipper Gaijin

May 20 (Walk 17.77 kms)

Raining again!

I chose the western style breakfast because, even though I needed Gohan – rice, for Gofast, I couldn’t resist. Ever tried to eat omelete, coleslaw and potato salad with chopsticks?

Even though it was raining, being in the 80s and being clear about where I had to go helped to keep my spirits high.

So, 7am on a Saturday morning in Takamatsu, a crazy foreign Pilgrim walks along in the rain, singing at the top of her voice, conducting an imaginary orchestra and taking pictures on a phone along the main road for 4kms to the train station.

Kagawa Intelligent Park?

For Madam Mary...

Takamatsu Train Station was still another 3 kms away yet I passed under some tracks. I relooked at the map and was relieved to see that the track above me was the one I was meant to be on. Yay! 3kms less today (or six if I hadn’t found out now and had to double back!).

The trip was only 3 stations but it gave me time to have a snack and some water before climbing up to Temple 84.
