May 21 cont...
The train back to Tokushima was another luxury one and I dozed, but the trip was quicker than I expected. It was wonderful to walk back into my Home Away From Home at The Agnes and to see Takashi Sans welcoming smile at reception.
As he checked me in, I explained the drama with having to do Temples 1 to 22 again and paid for another night for when I got back from doing them in a few days time. It would sadly be my last night there before leaving Shikoku and returning to Koya San.
I went to my room and pulled everything out of both my packs, fixing the strap on the small pack. I spread it all over the floor and got changed into different clothes from the other pack.
I lay around and read my journals then went to check my emails.
I was thrilled to learn that Chiharu had changed her plans and was coming to Yokohama on the 17th of June instead of in July, so we would be able to catch up with each other!
I left everything in a mess in my room and went out for a short wander, found I wasn’t really interested in anything so went back to the Hotel and had a sleep.
